Beverly (CASA – 2.5 years): I believe that people should consider being a CASA volunteer if they’re interested in children and if they have a heart for children who have been abused that are needy.

Mary (CASA – 5 years): As a housewife most of my life, I lamented daily about how my work was so temporary. I would get up, clean house, cook breakfast, and it’d be all messed up in about an hour. And I would encourage anyone who wants to do something with a lasting effect to be a CASA worker. The child you spend time with—that time with the foster child is so valuable, it has lifelong effects for that child.

Joanne (CASA – 6 years): I believe it’s such a necessary service for one thing. I think everybody, you know, when you look at it, seems like everybody has advocates and has someone who speaks. You know, adults vote but children don’t get to vote, so seems like when things happen, children are the last ones in many instances to be considered. So I really feel it’s important for children to have a voice and I really believe that my husband and I do that.
