I'm a mother of two and I have a job as an executive director, so I work full time. I go to court about four to five times a year, so I still find the experience flexible enough to accommodate my schedule. Besides the court dates, I am able to schedule everything around my own schedule like visiting the child and reading court reports. Usually volunteers spend more time on the case in the first few weeks just so they can gather information about the case. But, over the lifetime of the case you’ll spend only an average 15 hours a month including the travel and phone calls, etc.
